The anti-national slogans raised under the banner of Democratic Student Union (DSU) at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, on 9 February raised several questions and definitely changed the discourse of all political parties and their interests.
It is surprising to know that DSU is a one of the active frontal organizations of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and these both were legally banned by government of India.
In a Question and Answers session of Parliament on 18-February-2014
(Q.No-3981), the Home Ministry has given a list of banned organizations. In this,
the 34 th was Communist Party
of India (Maoist) all its formations and front organizations.
In continuation of this,
The annexure list referring to Q.No 3838, the government
listed the Active Front Organizations of the CPI (Maoist).
By these papers, it confirms that the country's security agencies have ignored or they deliberate allowed it to operate freely.
So it is clear that whatever happens under DSU is illegal across the country.
